Apple will show movies at the cinema

Apple plans to broadcast in movies theaters originally made for its streaming service, according to an article published Friday by the "Wall Street Journal."
The American newspaper quotes anonymous sources that Apple hopes that releases in the cinema will give more prestige to its platform and help attract movie industry stars.

Apple did not respond to AFP's confirmation requests.

The diffusion of films in the cinema also makes it possible to seek rewards. Subscription video streaming leaders such as Netflix and Amazon Prime have won awards for original films seen by audiences in theaters.

Apple TV + is due out on November 1 in more than 100 countries for $ 4.99 a month, with a limited number of original content initially, but the Apple brand has promised to add new ones regularly.

The price of the subscription is lower than that of Disney + (launch scheduled mid-November for $ 6.99 per month) and that of Netflix.
